William Roy Damron passed away on June 22, 2017, in Elmo, Emery County, Utah. At that time, he was living at the Beehive Senior Care Home. Roy was born on July 6, 1929, in Magna, Utah. He was the son of William Reed Damron, Jr. and Mabel Leone Duckworth Damron. He was the fifth of six children. He lived most of his early life in and around the Magna, Utah area. He did live in Laverkin and Price, Utah in his later years. For a time, he worked at Kennecott Copper Mining Company. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He and his wife Jacquelin Evelyn Anderson adopted a son who passed away accidently on June 1, 1980 at the age of 12.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jacquelin, son Michael Shawn, his parents Reed and Mabel Damron, sisters Leone Taylor and June McGill, brothers Marvin Reed Damron and Grant Leroy Damron. He is survived by his sister Ruth Bennett.
Roy was given a blessing of relief just prior to his passing on Thursday evening. He was told there were angels and family members waiting for him on the other side of the veil.
