Wanda Downard

Wanda Grace Larsen Downard Price, Wellington: Wanda Grace Downard, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed from the loving arms of her family to the waiting arms of our Lord and her husband on June 8, 2013. She was born November 22, 1935 to Austin and Millie Jessen Larsen. Wanda married LaMont Downard on May 9th 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wanda was a very special, caring and fun lady. She lovingly cared for her husband in their home for many years before his passing. Her door was always open and within you found comfort, love, advice, hugs, a shoulder to cry on, a good laugh or just a visit and good food. She loved to camp, she loved to travel, but most of all she loved her family. We can't imagine life without her, we will miss her dearly. She is survived by three children, Christine (John) Wilson of Helper, Julie Ann (Steve) Contratto, Royce (Marsha) Downard both of Magna, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brothers, Tom (Helen) Larsen of Wellington, Delon (Holly) Larsen of Eagle Mountain, Wade (Linda) Larsen of Sandy and sisters, Rhea Timothy and Etta Henrie of Price and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, LaMont, great-granddaughter Jessica, brothers Leo, Archie, Claude, Neil, Larry and Glen. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center, 150 South 500 East. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South in Price, and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
