Vincent Grimmett
HUNTINGTON- Vincent Wayne Grimmett, was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather. He passed away peacefully Saturday morning September 4, 2021 after struggling with a chronic illness. Vincent was born February 12, 1970 in Price, Utah to Wayne and Shar'ree (LeRoy) Grimmett.
Vince had a love for the wilderness and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the mountain. He was an avid bow hunter and taxidermist who took pride in teaching others about the ways of the great outdoors. He acquired many wise and valuable lessons from his five uncles, who were more like fathers to him.
Vince graduated Emery High School, Class of 1988. He then married Kathy (Skaggs) Scovill in 1990 and started a family soon after. Together they had three daughters and one son over the course of the next seven years, then divorced. He loved his children Shandalin, Dillion, Porsha, and Makiya Grimmett very much, more than words can describe. He became a grandfather to his only grandson his "little buddy," Luca Brooks Grimmett in September 2016, becoming a grandfather was the greatest title he could ever receive.
His mother Shar'ree Grimmett, brother Daniel (Boonie) Grimmett and niece Jaycee Grimmett hold a special bond as they spent the last few years of their life together. He had a love for his family that no one could change, he loved with his whole heart no matter the circumstances and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.
Vince is survived by his mother; Shar'ree Grimmett; brother, Danial Grimmett; children, Shandlin Grimmett, Dillion Grimmett, Porsha Grimmett, and Makiya Grimmett; grandson Luca Brooks Grimmett; niece Jaycee Grimmett; uncles and aunts Drew (Valerie) LeRoy, Gregory (Donna) LeRoy, Kelly (Ronda) LeRoy, Fred (Annette) LeRoy and his many cousins.
