Vauna Thorderson

April 9, 1947 — August 29, 2017

(Vauna) Julene Thorderson, born April 9, 1947 in Cleveland, Utah passed away after a long battle with infection on August 29, 2017 in Ogden, Utah. She attended the School for the Blind for several years, and graduated from CEU with her associate degree. During the last 11 years, she has resided in Ogden, Utah at the Mount Ogden Nursing facility, to be close to her sister, Carol. Her great love in life was music and she enjoyed country and jazz the most. She enjoyed playing the guitar and the piano by ear. She loved to entertain and keep everyone singing and laughing. Julene is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Vera Thorderson, and two brothers, John and Kelly. Surviving is her brother, David (American Fork) and sister Carol Hartmann (Dennis), three nieces; Liberty Stephens (Brandan), Autumn Green (Michael) and Shamara Hartmann and a nephew, Cody Hartmann, all of Ogden. Also, two grand nieces, Hannah Green and Remington Minor. The family would like to thank the staff of Mount Ogden Nursing for the loving care of Vauna over the last 11 years. A graveside service will be held September 6, 2017 at Cleveland Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Vauna at www.fausettmortuary.com.
