Biography In Loving Memory of Tommy L. Mortensen January 17, 1934- May 30, 2009 Tommy Lou Mortensen peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009. Tommy was born on January 17, 1934 in Emery, Utah to Heber & Maude Mortensen; he was one of 15 children. He grew up in Emery, until married Phyllis Jean Helm on October 12, 1957. They were married for 47 wonderful years before Phyllis passed away in March of 2004. They had 3 children together; Rick, Lori & Chris. Tommy was beloved by all, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His love for Christ was unbreakable. He went to be with the lord, shortly after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Phoenix, Arizona. Tommy is survived by his 3 children; Rick, Lori and Chris, 10 grandchildren; Nicole, Jessica, Janine, Josh, Anna, Emily, Blake, Brandon, Sarah and Beau, 5 great-grandchildren; Zach, Cyrus, Cayson, Victor Jr. and Jasmine, his brothers; Walt, Leon, Mick and Sandy, his sisters; Donetta, Belle, Gay, Larena and Toni- may. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emery LDS Chapel. A viewing will be from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior the services at the chapel in Emery. Interment will be in the Emery Town Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
