Terry Lee Carr of Castle Dale, Utah passed away on Friday, August 10th, 2018.
Terry was born April 4, 1947 in Coachella, California. He grew up and lived in the southern California desert, working as a teenager at his family's automotive repair shop, cafe, and service station and graduating high school in Eagle Mountain, California in 1965. He met his sweet wife Paulene (Cullum) in high school and they married December 20, 1966; they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He was called to serve in the military during the Vietnam War, being stationed in Fort Ord, California from 1966 to 1968.
Terry and his wife, Paulene lived and worked for many years in Eagle Mountain in the mining industry, during which time their two children (Madonna and Michael) were born. The family relocated to Castle Dale, Utah in 1983. Terry worked in mining operations in Sunnyside for many years after that.
Service to his community and religious faith brought various responsibilities throughout his life, such as serving as School Board President in California and in LDS Church callings as a counselor in the Bishopric, Ward and Stake Clerk positions, a Primary Teacher, and one of his most loved callings as a Family History Consultant.
Retirement brought Terry time to devote himself to family history research, allowing him to bring thousands in his family lineage together through his research.
Terry was preceded in death by his father and mother (Charles and Florence) and his brothers (Donald, Richard, and Gary).
He is survived by his wife, Paulene, his two children, five grandchildren (Malena [Casey] Tanner, Camille [Dylan] Parkinson, Jonathan and Jacob Carr, and Connor Cramer), and two great-grandchildren (Logan Tanner and Harrison Parkinson).
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Castle Dale City Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Terry at fausettmortuary.com.
