Ted Fausett

October 13, 1930 — April 25, 2010

PRICE, UT- Ted (Coyote) Fausett, Age 79, left us on April 25, 2010. Ted was born October 13th, 1930, to Ervin Fausett & Clara Smithson Fausett. Ted married his sweetheart Shirley Foster on November 7th, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Ted was a hard worker & spent over 37 years in the coal mines, was a member of U.M.W.A. local union #6363, and he also enjoyed farming after he came home from work every day. If you want to reflect on his way of life, honor him with your laughter in remembrance. Ted loved working on his farm and caring for his animals. And as hard as he worked, he made it enjoyable and not seem like such a chore. Ted has always made everyone smile; laugh and feel at home with his light hearted jokes & stories. Once when he was asked how far he went to school, he replied, "Oh, probably 3 or 4 miles, uphill both ways!" But Ted carried a natural wisdom and knowledge that came from truly experiencing life and was able to just figure out how to work with things, living life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors and shared many camping trips with his family and friends where he also taught all of his grandkids to fish and play. We were all so fortunate to laugh and play with him, as if we were all children. Ted used to hate sports and anyone who watched them, but ended up an avid Jazz fan and looked forward to the next game, with a play by play call of each game along side his best friend and sweetheart, "Lamb Chops". He is survived by his loving wife "Cute Bum" Shirley, with almost 62 years of love, Laughter and joy. Daughter, Diane (Benny) Christensen, Sons, Dennis (Barbara) Fausett and David "Tad" (Lori) Fausett. 11 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren,siblings, Fern, June & Marie Fausett, Bud Fausett, Dot (Dennis) Cole, Dee (Carol) Fausett, all of Price; Babe (Sandra) Fausett of Castle Dale, and brother-in-law Mack (Jean) McDoniel and sister-in-law Elaine Anthony, all who have experienced the joy and laughter of Ted's love. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Don, mother and father-in-law Nephi & LaVon Foster, brother-in-laws, Layton & Bruce Foster, Mike Larsen, granddaughter, Kamie Anderson, twin great-grandsons, Jay & Shiloh Jr. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 29th, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, with graveside services at the Price Cemetery, of Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., with a family gathering 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary, prior the graveside service, where we will make a final salute to "Coonrod."
