Sybil Peel

Biography Listen To Service Sybil L. Peel Mt. Pleasant: On July 12, 2009 at 7:25 PM our parents Grant & Sybil Peel were reunited for the eternities. Our mother Sybil Peel was born Feb 16, 1924 she was the 8th of 10 children born to Robert S. and Clara LaVerna Lusty in Duchesne, Utah. While growing up Mom enjoyed working on the family farm. As a young girl she was taught by her mother the importance of prayer and Mom, in turn, taught this to her children. After graduating from high school Mom moved to Provo to attend BYU. While there Mom met the love of her life and eternal companion Grant, and on March 21, 1947 they were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. To this union they were blessed with nine children. Mom and Dad were fortunate to raise seven of us. They taught by example the importance of how to work hard and how to love the Lord. Mother loved to serve and did so in many capacities in Relief Society & Primary, always relying on the Lord for help. Mom loved to crochet and give keepsakes to her loved ones. Music was always a big part of her family's life, and she loved singing her children to sleep. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 infants Michael & Beth, 3 sons Grant, Matson, & Steven, 2 sons-in-law Ron & Jerry. She is survived by 4 daughters Diann Fox (Grand Junction), Maria Rea (Mt Pleasant), Janice Boyd (Brigham City), Valorie Allen (Hurricane), 21 Grand Children, 12 Great-Grand Children and one sister Barbara Gilbert Othello (Washington). Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Mt. Pleasant 5th Ward LDS Chapel (49 South State Street). A viewing will be held Thursday July 16, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the church and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Steven Furner of Fausett Mortuary, Castle Dale. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.fausettmortuary.com.
