Shirley Wood

Shirley Berensen Wood PRICE - Shirley B. Wood died in Price, Utah on August 6, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born September 14, 1925 in Ferron, Utah to James Henry and Venice Nelson Berensen. She was one of 15 children and was raised in Kenilworth, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings in the Church. Shirley married Don Martin Wood in the Salt Lake Temple on September 25, 1945. She was a faithful devoted wife to the love of her life Don. She was equally a wonderful stay at home mom of three and learned her trait exceptionally well from her mother; and was instrumental in raising many of her 8 younger siblings after the passing of her mother when she was in the ninth grade. She loved to crochet, needlepoint, oil paint, perform civic work, play solitaire, cook, LAUGH, watch sports, travel to new places and to stay with family. Family was her life and her life was theirs! She also loved her Lunch Bunch, Sewing Club and Bunko families. Shirley is survived by children Vickie Lynn (Gary) Robb (The Villages, FL); Steve (Tammy) Wood (Layton, UT); David (Becky) Wood (Price, UT); five brothers; four sisters; twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband (Don Martin Wood); parents (James Henry and Venice Nelson Berensen); three brothers and two sisters. A viewing will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South, Price, UT) from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Price 8th Ward (995 East 700 North) at 11:00 am with a viewing from 9:00 - 10:45 am.
