Helper, UT: Sharon Jane Jones, 66, passed away at her home in Helper on Feb. 9, 2015. She was born in Price, Utah on Aug. 10, 1948 to John W. and Beverly Lou Eilander Marshall. Sharon was raised in Price and graduated from Carbon High School. She went on to get a cosmetology license from CEU. She was a hair stylist and a book keeper for many years in Price. She married Stewart Jones on Sept. 15, 1967 in the Manti LDS Temple. They have been married for 47 years. In 1989 they moved to Salt Lake City where Sharon worked for many years as a 911 dispatcher. In 2003 they moved back to Helper.
Sharon was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She made sure her day always include a diet Coke or diet Dr. Pepper. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.
Sharon is survived by her husband Stewart of Helper, UT, her sons Stewart B (Stacy) Jones of Glenrock, WY, Shayne B (Autumn) Jones of Springville, UT, Shadd B (Farrah) Jones of West Valley, UT. 11 grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by her brothers John W (Gloria) Marshall of Wasilla, AK, Larry (Kris) Marshall of Orem, UT, sisters Wendy (Pete) Cowley of Price, UT, and Melanie (Todd) Jones of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew Christopher Cowley.
A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 from 6-7 pm at the Fausett Mortuary in Price. There will be a visitation on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am at the mortuary. A graveside service will follow at the Helper Mt. View Cemetery at 11:00 am with the interment to follow. Funeral services are entrusted to Fausett Mortuary in Price, UT.
