Ivan Scott Allred
Cleveland: Ivan Scott Allred, age 61, passed away at his home in Cleveland on September 7, 2011. Scott was born on July 19, 1950 in Price Utah to Don and Vonnie Dea Atwood Allred. He married Irene Young on December 17, 1971. They were married in the Manti LDS Temple.
Scott was raised in Cleveland Utah, and later in Huntington, Utah. He graduated from Emery High in 1968. He was a member of the LDS church.
Scott was a man of many trades. He was a miner, a farmer, a welder, a mechanic, and an equipment operator. Scott was very creative and loved to work with his hands. He loved to take things apart just to put them back together again; he was very interested in how things worked. He loved old cars, animals, history, birds, and his grandkids. He was interested in LED lights and sand pictures.
He is survived by his wife Irene Young Allred, his children; Jennifer (Joel) Miller of Cleveland; Colby Don (Emily) Allred of Huntington; Sarale ( Jeremy) Draper, Cleveland; and Taralyn (Covy) Jones of Eagle Mountain; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Dawnette (Greg) Simmons of Vernal; Ardyth (Marvin) Bell, Cleveland; Vallene Rudd, Orangeville; and brothers Dick R (Raelene) Allred, Huntington; and Jed D (Kim) Allred, Huntington; and his father, Don Allred of Huntington Utah.
Preceded in death by his mother, Vonnie Dea Atwood Allred; brother, Troy Allred; nephew, Chad Bell; uncle, Sheldon Atwood; and Grandparents; H. Lavar Atwood and Eunice Marie Atwood; Charles Earl Allred, and Gladys J. Allred Nelson.
The funeral will be held Monday September 12, 2011 at 11 a.m., at the Cleveland LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the church and from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services at the church preceding the funeral service. Interment and graveside service will be held at the Cleveland Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
