Ryley Joseph Bresee was born on June 28th, 1990 in San Diego, California, the oldest of five children born to Tim and Kathy Bresee. He passed away on December 6th, 2021 from complications due to Covid-19. He is survived by his wife, Kristen Bresee, and their four children, Eliza, Brady, Evelyn, and Esther; his parents, Kathy and Tim Bresee; and his four siblings, Megan Ellison, Britney Stoddard, Kaitlyn, and Garrett Bresee.
Ryley grew up in Tooele, Utah and graduated from Tooele High School in 2008. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Auckland, New Zealand. Upon returning, he met and married the love of his life, Kristen Gardner, at Snow College. While balancing being a husband and father to young children he completed a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University. From a young age, Ryley was very inquisitive and passionate about learning how things work, especially airplanes and drones. He accepted a position as a flight test engineer working for Edwards Air Force Base in Lancaster, California. Kristen and Ryley had many adventures together as a family in California, spending time hiking and playing at the beach, and learning to surf. They recently moved back to Utah to start their next adventure of building a home in Emery.
Ryley is known for his integrity and virtue in all that he did. He had an easy smile and was gentle and kind with his children. Ryley adored his wife Kristen and was affectionate and caring towards her. He was quick to make friends wherever he lived. Ryley had a love for designing and playing board games, golfing, flying drones, eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream, and cheering for the Utah Jazz. To know Ryley is to love Ryley. We know that he has been welcomed by our Savior with open arms.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday December 11th, 2021. The viewing will be at 11am and the funeral will be at 1pm. It will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Emery, Utah at 65 North Center Street, Emery, UT 84522.
