Listen To Service
Huntington-Ruth Maughan Guymon, Mother, Grandmother, Grandma Great, Longtime School Teacher and Friend passed through the veil on a beautiful summer morning, June 8, 2009. She had struggled for a long time with a 91 year old body and her still youthful spirit trapped inside that worn frame. Heavenly Father sent His servants to bring her home and she is now in a much more joyful place, surrounded by all her friends, family, and loved ones who have gone on before her. She was born November 22, 1917 to James Collings Maughan and Sarah Edith Clark. She was a "Twin". She married Morris M Guymon December 1, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with a wonderful family.
Ruth taught school for over 42 years and it seemed like everyone she met knew her and loved her for the things she taught them and the things her life stood for. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served as a Relief Society President, Full time missionary, Family History Missionary, and Temple Worker. She loved Family History and the reunion on the other side will be long and sweet for her and all those she has served.
She is survived by her son Maughan Marion (Thelma)Guymon, Huntington, son Quinn Morris Guymon, Logan, daughter Ruth Ann (Tom) Chapman, Salt Lake City. She has two foster daughters, Lorretta Parker (Ralph) Worthen, Ferron, and Geraldine Dodge, Arizona. She has 24 Grandchildren and 50 Great-grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her Husband Morris, daughter-in-law, Ellen Adams Guymon, Great Grandchildren Sophie Ann Sanders, and Elijah Cope Sanders. Her parents, and all her brothers and sisters.
