Send Flowers Roy Eugene Oviatt September 20, 1928 - January 22, 2012 Roy Eugene Oviatt Elmo-Roy Eugene Oviatt, age 83, passed away on January 22, 2012 in Elmo, Utah. Roy was born on September 20, 1928 in Elmo, Utah to Charles and Ada Olsen Oviatt. He married Celia McArthur on March 3, 1951. Roy enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 16, where he was stationed in Guam during WW II. He worked on the Railroad and the US Fuel Hiawatha Coal Mine. He was also a member of the Local 6363. Roy loved having his family together and spending time with them, watching the Jazz and the PBR. He spent his days tending water and watching his calves in the pasture and he loved riding his tractor and four-wheelers. He is survived by his wife Celia, son Roy (MaryAnn) Oviatt of Elmo, daughters: Jenine (Chuck) Bentley of Elmo, Mitzi (Keith Barker) Zserai of Miller Creek, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Chet K. Oviatt, parents, brothers: Harv, Rex, Que, and Clint, sisters: Helen and Barbara. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elmo LDS Chapel (199 East Main). Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Elmo City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
