Ronald L. Davis
"Ron"
March 23, 1941 - December 12, 2013
Ronald L. Davis went to be with his heavenly father on December 12th. Ron was born in Standardville, Utah to Samuel "Lyle" and Louise Davis on March 23, 1941.
He lived in Utah, California and became a long time resident of Glenwood Springs, CO. Ron was a truck driver and loved his work. He started driving with his father's trucking company which leased to I. Sanders Inc, hauling gas. He also drove for Pacific Natural Gas (CO2), Pritchard Transportation (oil rigs/houses), Tony Morasco and Son Trucking Co.(coal), Eastern Utah Development (bulk bag cement), and drove for a few other companies in Price, Utah. While living in Colorado he drove for Wyckoff Co, hauling mail for the United States Postal Service from Denver to Salt Lake City. He also worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company, Mountain Mobile Mix which is currently Lafarge, hauling iron ore and cement. His last job was for Harry's Heavy Haulers/Rifle Equipment Company.
Ron was a great husband and father. Ron had a love for trucks. He would sit and have coffee with his friends and family, having conversations about trucks and how they can take care of the world's problems. He was loved by all who knew him and a good friend too many. He will be missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his wife Carol, son Kyle of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, brother Brent Davis of Ogden, Utah, daughters from a previous marriage Ronda (Bill) Patera, Cari (Norm) Sproles, Paula Davis, and Cidney (Shane) Hammer, five brother and sister in-laws, 15 nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly; and his Mother and Father, Samuel "Lyle" and Louise Davis of Price, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
