Ray Bright

Ray Baker Bright Sr. "Pappy Ray" Price-Ray Baker Bright Sr., age 85, passed away on May 2, 2010 in Price, Utah. He was born to Francis Earl and Ruby May Baker Bright on April 13, 1925 in Lewiston, Utah. He married Lucy Harris in Lewiston, Utah, they later divorced then married Lucy Marie Dickey-Barfus on July 21, 1956. Ray served his country in the Navy during World War II. Ray was part owner of a tavern in Lewiston, Utah for several years. He also was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed bowling in leagues. He also used to shoot billiards/pool and played in tournaments. Ray held office of an Elder in the LDS Church, he was also a member of the Elk Lodge in Preston, Idaho. Ray was also an excellent cook. He is survived by children: Susan Sorensen, of Saint George, John Barfus, Jody Bright (Allen) Lloyd, Janie Bright Jarvis all of Price, Ray B. Bright Jr. of Hastings, NE, Ginger K. Bright of Saint George, Jacklyn Wallace (Don) Sadler of Richmond, UT, and Randy Wallace of Logan, UT, 25 grandchildren, 25 plus great-grandchildren, and a sister Carma Bright Williams, of Oregon. He is preceded in death by Lucy Marie Bright, his parents, brothers: Dean and Reid, sisters: Mable Bright Jensen, Venice Bright, and son, Keith Ray Bright. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah. Viewing will be held Thursday May 6, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior the services at the mortuary. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Preston Cemetery in Preston, Idaho. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
