Rachel Garff
PRICE - Rachel Amelia Llewelyn Garff, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Price, Utah on December 10, 2014. She was born in Murray, Utah November 6, 1935 to Evan John Llewelyn and Leona Gertrude Caldwell and was the 14th of 15 children. She married Ronald H. Garff on September 1, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 17, 1973. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where her favorite calling was teaching the 10 year old girls in Primary.
Her greatest success in life was that of being a wife and mother. For the past four and one half years she has worn herself out caring for her husband after his stroke. He is still here because of her untiring love and devotion.
Rachel is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Heber Garff; all six children: Gregory D. (Vickie) Garff, Sheryl J. (Tom) Cates, Douglas R. (Lynda) Garff, Kathy D. (Eugene) Anderson, Keith L. (Christie) Garff, and Jeffrey L. (Ellen) Garff; 28 of 31 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Evan Carlos Llewelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 13 of her 14 siblings; granddaughter, Denise Lynn Garff; and two grandsons, Jarom Douglas and Adam DeValson Garff.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Price Stake Center (100 South 500 East, Price). Friends may call at Fausett Mortuary of Price (680 East 100 South) Monday, December 15, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and at the church Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
