Penelope Eleazar

Penelope Celino Eleazar (Penny) On the morning of December 24, 2012 our beloved Penelope Celino Eleazar (Penny) returned to her Heavenly Father. She had been spending Christmas break visiting her sister and her family in San Jose, California when she became ill and passed away suddenly from complications due to heart failure and pneumonia. Penny was the epitome of vigor and vitality, always with boundless energy. Thus it is an unbelievable shock to everyone who knew her. Penny was born April 19, 1972 in Makati, Philippines to Roselly and Artemio Eleazar, where she had many happy childhood memories of family and friends. Penny was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and had served a full-time mission in the Philippines. At the time of her passing she was enrolled at Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah at Price in the Registered Nursing Program, and would have graduated with her R.N. in the spring of 2013. Everyone who met Penny was touched by her unconditional love. She touched countless lives in the Philippines, Hong Kong, California, Utah, and Price. Penny is survived by her mother and father Roselly and Artemio, Philippines, sister: Ning, brothers: Rollie, Jojo, Allen, and Pheng and special nieces and nephews whom she adored, and Larry and Karen Leonard with whom she has lived for the past 2 1/2 years, and who considered Penny their adopted granddaughter. A viewing will be held in San Jose, California with interment January 12, 2013 in Cavite, Philippines. A memorial service will also be held at the Price North Stake Center, 449 North 100 East Price on January 6, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Penny at www.fausettmortuary.com.
