Castle Dale - Patricia Cope Sanders, 66, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2019 in her home, surrounded by family in Castle Dale, Utah. Pat was born on January 2, 1953 in Payson, Utah to James Austin Cope, Jr and Florence Fairbanks Cope. She was married to Dr. Ronald Bruce Sanders on April 16, 1974 in the Provo Temple.
Pat grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was the 7th of 13 children born to Jim and Florence Cope. Pat was a very good student and was praised by her teachers for being kind and going the extra mile in and out of class. She was very involved in high school and was a member of the student council each year. After high school, she attended BYU and then moved to California where she worked and met her future spouse, Ron Sanders. They lived in Los Angeles, CA while Ron attended Chiropractic School. After, graduating, they eventually settled in Castle Dale, Utah where they built his Chiropractic Practice.
Pat was an expert homemaker and spent much time baking, cooking and caring for her seven children. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, painting, and watching classic movies. She was very dedicated to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and spent countless hours giving service to those in need.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ronald B. Sanders Castle Dale. Children: Eric Sanders (Mara) South Weber, Alisa Parris (Lloydster) Vernal, April Earl (Randy) Cedar City, Ryan Sanders (Emily) Price, Leslie Larson (Eric) Logan, Nicole Burkhardt (Kalan)Tulsa, Jordan Sanders (Mallory) Cedar City, eighteen (18) grandchildren, seven (7) brothers and three (3) sisters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two (2) sisters, and two (2) grandchildren.
Viewing will be at Fausett Mortuary on Friday, June 14, 2019 on Center Street in Castle Dale, at 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15 , 2019 at 11:00 am at the Chapel on 8th North in Castle Dale, Utah, preceded by a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am June 15, 2019.
