Patricia Hill
PRICE- Patricia Jean (Clarke) Hill, born November 30,1946 to MarJean (Bowden) Clarke and Henry Gordon Clarke in St. Louis Missouri. Though she was born on the other side of the country, Pat spent most of her life surrounded by her favorite scenery- the mountains of Utah.
Her early life saw her family spending time in Tooele County, growing with her Eden siblings before settling in Sunnyside Utah where her father worked in the coal mine and she, the 2nd oldest of the Clarkes, largely took on the role of 'mom' that she would carry through the rest of her life.
Our mother married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Richardson, on April 17,1965, in the Manti Sanpete Temple. Together, they welcomed 4 children, Lynette, Sandra, Brandon, and Sara. Marvin later passed in 1978. Mom worked her way through school while raising her children, becoming an LPN, before welcoming her youngest daughter, Bree, in 1988- then continuing on to receive her RN license in 1996.
Mom spent years working with geriatrics throughout Utah, as well as doing work in Hyperbaric treatment centers for her wound care specialty. Mom was not only a dedicated nurse, mother, and friend, but an incredible artist. She expressed this gift through pencil portraits, paints, wood carvings, crafts, intricate quilts, an immaculate, beautifully decorated home, and her love to COOK- the smell of her warm baked bread filling the halls each holiday.
Mom married Paul (Bud) Hill in early 2006, and in their love, her adventure truly began. They were always off on the motorcycle or four-wheelers exploring the country and spending quality time in the mountains that mom so loved, collecting rocks all along the way.
In late 2006, mom was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, and given less than 6 months to live. Our mom went on to fight for almost 20 years- making precious memories with her grandbabies, who were the light of her life.
Mom would make close friendships wherever she was, but those she made in her work and in her church were truly cherished.
Our mom returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 20, 2023, to be greeted by the family and friends waiting for her there, being preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa, parents, brothers; Bill, Dennis, Henry, Davies, and Kelly, sister Peggy, and - the love of her life, Bud.
Mom’s love is continued here through her surviving 5 children, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as her brothers, Randy and Joseph, and sisters, Sue Ann, Kathy, Shawnee, Janell, Darla, Sherideen, and Vickie.
