Norma Sarah Hansen Hall
HUNTINGTON - Norma Sarah Hansen Hall, age 88, passed away March 2, 2011, in Ferron, Utah. She was born April 21, 1922, in Bear River City, Utah, to Frederick and Bertha Johnson Hansen.
She married Frank Levi Hall on June 10, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was the mother of five daughters and one son.
Norma graduated from Bear River High School, and then attended Utah State Agricultural College (USU). She was a faithful member of the LDS church where she served in many capacities, including the Relief Society Presidency, Stake Young Women's President, and as a dedicated Visiting Teacher. Norma was a Primary Guide Patrol Leader for 20 years. She and Frank served a mission together in St. Louis, Missouri, and as Manti Temple ordinance workers for 19 years. She also served as a scribe for her husband who is a Stake Patriarch.
She loved her family, children, roses, crocheting, sewing, sunsets, and nature. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ in her home, at church, and while serving in the Manti Temple. She made friends wherever she went and loved to make people smile.
Norma is survived by Frank her sweetheart of 69 years, children: Annette (Dan) Wells of Cleveland, Aliece (Fred) Boone of Provo, Lynn (Calleen) Hall of Pasco, Washington, Jeanie (Owen) Olsen, of Cleveland, Amy (Clark) Bonner of West Jordan, and Nadine (Bill) Cox of Hyde Park; a sister-in-law, Lily Hansen; 47 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Huntington LDS Stake Center (240 N. Main). There will be a viewing Friday, March 4, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services, both at the Huntington Stake Center.
