Nancy Clair

Nancy Lea Clair of Price UT, age 67 passed away Nov. 7, 2015 after battling many health issues. Nancy Lea Peterson was born Oct. 4, 1948 in Brainerd, MN to Lester and Mary Peterson. She was raised on a dairy farm until her parents moved to Arizona when she was 10. She graduated from Chandler High School, Chandler, AZ in 1966. She met her future husband Mark Clair on a blind date to Disneyland. They married on July 12, 1969 in Price UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti temple on Jan. 6, 1977. Together they had 5 children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always loved to have her family around her. She especially loved having her grandkids and her great grandkids in her home. She was the peacemaker in her family. She always wanted everyone to be included and "be nice" and have "fun fun". She enjoyed spending time around the fire pit roasting marshmallows with her family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings in the Primary and Young Women's. Nancy loved genealogy and the opportunity to help others in their quest in doing their family history. She was a ward family history consultant for 25+ years. She spent many years searching for lost family members who must have met her with great gratitude and love for her persistence. She was an amazing seamstress, sewing clothes for her girls when they were younger and making numerous blessing gowns and wedding dresses. She is survived by her husband Mark, mother Mary of Price, UT, children Julie (Steve)Whiting of Whitewater, CO, Debbie Clair of Price, UT, Aimee (Tommy) Blaylock of Magee, MS, Kellie (Andy) Jennings of Price, UT, Tyler (Trisha) Clair of Hyrum, UT, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters Lori (Robert) Wood of Grand Junction, CO and Alice McCown of AZ and sister-in-law Carol Peterson of Mesa, AZ. She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Peterson, brother, Robert Peterson, granddaughter Shelby Whiting, and grandson Chase Blaylock. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at the Westwood Chapel 175 North 1280 West Price UT at 1:00 pm. A viewing will be Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Fausett Mortuary 680 East 100 South Price, UT and also on Friday at noon prior to service.
