Morris Lavar Curtis, born March 6, 1923 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on January 22, 2018. Morris was preceded in death by his dear wife Beverly and by 3 grandchildren: Kate, Justin and Cody. He is survived by six children: Sharon Mead (Gary, deceased), Craig (Sharon), Valerie Schrader (Ron), Laurie Duke (Darrell), April (Carmen) and Kirk (Tara). The couple had 33 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Debbie and Richard Hutchinson became honorary family members along with so many others too numerous to name. He was devoted to his family and everyone he met became family.
He was a decorated World War II combat medic veteran, a hero to his family and to all.
He was devoted to his Heavenly Father and led a life of service.
There will be time for family and friends to visit and reminisce on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the LDS church building at 650 West Southern Ave. The funeral will be at the same location on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon with a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will be at the Orangeville Cemetery in Orangeville, Utah with a Graveside Service on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon. Arrangements entrusted to Fausett Mortuary of Emery County.
