MORGAN MAXFIELD BUSCH
Clawson/Silver Spring, MD: Morgan Maxfield Busch died on September 20th of coronary failure at a Silver Spring hospital at the age of 81. He was born in Clawson Utah on April 9th, 1931. He joined the US Navy at 17 where he served as a SEABEE. He continued his service as an officer in the Navy Reserve and as a civilian in the Department of the Navy, where he served as an Engineering Project Supervisor. His work for the Navy brought him from California to Maryland in 1972.
Morgan was active his entire life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served in several leadership capacities, including that of Bishop and High Councilor. Amongst his many interests he was a passionate genealogist. He not only researched his own family history but also served for many years as a volunteer staff member at the church's Family History Center in Kensington.
Morgan married Sorina Jane Pedersen of Benicia California on September 9th, 1953 in the Salt Lake City Temple and they had five children. He is survived by his sons Morgan David Busch of Sandy Utah and Arlen Lyle Busch of Gambrills; his daughters Laura Jane Orr and Helen Kathleen McBride of Silver Spring; his brothers Larry, Fred, Owen, and John and his sisters Sally and Ellie; his 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Sorina and his son Darrell Alan Busch.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Ferron City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, 680 E. 100 S. prior to the graveside services.
