Merilene (Mimi) Weddington
Our beloved mother, gammy, sister, aunt and friend, Mimi Weddington, age 79, passed away on January 29, 2022 at Castleview Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Mimi was born on January 15th, 1943 in Glendale CA to the late Dixson McIntosh and Merriam Higgins.
Mimi was a resident of California for most of her life, and relocated to Price Utah in 2012 to be near her family. During her life, she was a proud owner of several businesses. Her most recent and successful business, in which she retired, was Stamp Heaven in Fairfield, CA.
Mimi enjoyed many things in life, but truly enjoyed anything having to do with arts and crafts. In her later years, Mimi loved going to Carbon County Senior Center, where she enjoyed line dancing twice a week. She had a strong bond with each of her line dancing family.
Mimi is survived by her daughters, Gwen Brown and Ronda (Floyd) Brown of Price, UT. Melissa (David) Francke of Mission Viejo, CA and her son, Rocky Owen of Oregon. Siblings Kenneth (Alene) Sutherland of Elko NV and Catherine (Raul) Garcia of Temecula CA; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces and nephew.
The family would like to thank Carbon County Senior Center and their staff, Dr. Gagon, Castleview Hospital and their ER staff. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the nurses in the Castleview Hospital ICU, Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Symbii Home Health and Hospice and their team.
Care of Merilene is entrusted to Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Mimi at www.fausettmortuary.com.
