Ma-Stella Alvarado, age 82, passed away September 19, 2020 in Provo, UT. Stella was born April 10, 1938 in Bogota, Colombia to Jose Joaquin and Ma-Elvira Olarte Guaqueta.
She was married for over 60 years to German Alvarado in 1957 in Bogota, Colombia. He passed away in December 2018. Together they had five children.
Ma-Stella worked for a number of years at hospitals sterilizing tools for surgeries. She spent some time in retail but mostly she was a wonderful homemaker. When she was young, she drew lots of pictures of horses and only horses and then she suddenly just stopped drawing at all. She was a little bit of a thrill seeker when getting things done. Whether right or wrong she leaped forward.
Ma-Stella was a kind individual, very cordial, always be remembered as the sweet old lady.
Ma-Stella was a good Mom and friend to her children. She was always good guidance for her family. Mom will be dearly missed by all of her family.
She is survived by her daughter; Maria Victoria McGuinness of Atlanta, GA; sons: William (Crystal) Alvarado of Ferron, UT, Ronnie (LaDonna) Alvarado of Manchester, TN, Sergio Alvarado of Acworth, GA and Oscar Alvarado of Gainesville, GA. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Adam, Brigit and Matthew. Ma-Stella was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Nicholas.
Graveside Services were held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Ferron Cemetery. Services entrusted to Fausett Mortuary of Emery County.
