Marion Simpson

November 18, 1922 — June 8, 2010

PRICE - With breaking hearts we said goodbye as we passed our cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother into the gentile arms of waiting Angels, who were waiting joyously to accompany her along the path, as she continues on her journey. Marion Dean Wall Smith Simpson, age 87, gently passed away June 8 in Price. Marion was born in Chadwick, Mo., to Fred R. and Merle Gibson Wall on Nov. 18, 1922. She married William Enos Smith I, in June 1938, had three bouncing boys, widowed Oct. 30, 1945. Married James Stidman Simpson in Dec. 1947, had four lovely girls, widowed on Oct. 14, 1970. Marion was retired from Coors Industries after 24 faithful years of service in the Porcelain Payroll Division. She moved to Price in 1986 to be near the desert she loved so much. Marion leaves behind many friends and family whom will dearly miss her bright blue eyes, quick witt and words of wisdom. Marion's greatest joy was her family and friends where many hours were spent in conversation, rock hunting, picnicing, gardening, photography and cooking their favorite foods. Marion is survived by son Raymond Edward (Dawn) Smith, Mountain Grove, Mo; son Frederic Theodore (Sandra) Smith, Aztec, NM; son William Enos II (Janet) Smith, Salida, Colo; daughter Kathy Dean (Witt) Simpson, Wheat Ridge, Colo; daughter Mary Jeanne (Brennon) Potter, Price; daughter Leitha Mae (Paul) Giacoletto, Price; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews and one sister-in-law. Our mother was preceded in death by her still born daughter, Donnas Katherine Simpson; husband William Enos Smith I and husband James Stidman Simpson and all of her siblings; Billie Joe Wall, Fred R. Wall Jr., George Eugene Wall and Beverly Faith Wall Witcher; her parents Fred R. Wall Sr. and Merle Gibson Wall Green, one grandchild. There will be no service or memorial per her request. May leave condolences and memories care of www.fausettmortuary.com. Mom's last words of wisdom is her wish for no flowers or donations, but rather to take time and create special memories with the ones you love, because in the end that is all that really matters.
