Marion Louise Roebuck Pruitt East Carbon-Marion Louise Roebuck Pruitt, age 89, passed away on September 9, 2012 in Price, UT. She was born on September 7, 1923 in Salisbury, Connecticut to Evelyn Inez Van Benscoten and George Roebuck. She grew up in Walden, New York. and she married Harold "Buddy" Pruitt on May 3, 1942 and was later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. They moved to Montrose, Colorado then to East Carbon in 1947 and began their family, they were blessed with three sons, Harold G. Jr. (Camillia), Gerald Roger (Karen), and James I. (Sue) Pruitt. Marion was active in the LDS Church serving in Primary, Relief Society, and Sunday School. She crocheted many afghans and quilts for all family. After the passing of her husband, Marion took care of herself for 27 years. Marion was a hard working independent woman who loved her family dearly. She is survived by her sons: Harold G. Jr. (Camillia) Pruitt, James I. (Sue) Pruitt, grandchildren: Teresa (Tony) Herrera, Bob (Kristi) Pruitt, Dutch (Kelly) Pruitt, Pat (Amber) Pruitt, Kristi Pruitt, Bren Pruitt, Brock Pruitt, great-grandchildren: Randy Herrera, Hanna, Hunter, Landen Pruitt, Alyssa Williams, Daniel, Kayla, Kezley, Heather, Shaylin, and Timothy Pruitt, great-great-grandchildren: Harley and Jayden Herrera. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sr., son, Gerald, daughter-in-law, Karen, parents, brothers: George, Charles, Henry, Robert, Walter, and sister, Marjorie. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah (680 East 100 South). A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary, also on Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Marion at www.fausettmortuary.com.
