Marilyn Van Wagoner 1932-2022 Wellington: - Marilyn Mead Van Wagoner passed away peacefully in her home in Wellington, Utah, age 89, on 1/24/2022. She was born 9/21/1932 in Wellington, Utah to Meril Emerson Mead and Ellen Lovina Workman Mead. She married Willard LaVell Van Wagoner in the Manti Temple on 10/8/1954. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was raised in Wellington, received her Associate's Degree from Carbon College in Price, UT, and raised her eight children with her loving husband in various locations in Utah and England, returning to her hometown of Wellington in the last decades of her life. Marilyn has worn many hats over the years, being a wife, mother, grandmother, Executive Secretary, volunteer, youth leader, seamstress, painter, gardener, musician, and home decorator. Affectionately and appropriately called "Angel Grandma" by her grandchildren, she has spent her life adoring and serving her family and all those around her, including her loving husband of 54 years who passed away over fourteen years ago. Whether it has been leading a hike of young women, setting up elaborate Easter egg hunts, throwing post-game parties, playing wild games of Spoons while camping, or even forgetting punch lines, she has always been the life of the party - all while ensuring that everyone who visits her home has a full belly, a cozy blanket, and a warm hug. She is survived by her children, Max (Wellington, UT); Kara & Jeff Hunt (Wellington, UT); Gerret & Myrna (Bountiful, UT); Martin & Lori (Hyrum, UT); Traci & Kurt Keller (New York, NY); Valyn & Chad Tucker (West Haven, UT); Jeanine & Bart Gardiner (Saratoga Springs, UT); Wendy & Matt Horton (Menlo Park, CA); 48 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren (with three more on the way); three great great-grandchildren; four brothers, Sam, Ben, Neal, Leon, and three sisters Eva, Wilma, and Gayla. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Jerry and his wife: Sue, daughter-in-law: Anita (wife of Max), and great-grandson: Cole. Funeral services will be Monday, 1/31/2022 at 12 p.m. at the Wellington Stake Center, 935 E. Main St., Wellington, UT. Viewing will be Sunday, 1/30/2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary, 680 E. 100 S., Price, and from 10-11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Wellington Stake Center prior to the funeral.
