Marilyn Atwood

Marilyn Atwood Helper-Marilyn Atwood, age 73 of Spring Glen, Utah, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 after a long illness. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Spanish Fork to Mildred Mayola Robbins and William Delaine Dowley. She Married Frank Atwood on February 13, 1956 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were sealed in the Manti Temple on June 20, 1961. Marilyn grew up in Spanish Fork and was the oldest daughter of eight children. Marilyn enjoyed crafts and being with her family especially watching her family drag race. She loved spending time at their home in Yuma as well as in Scofield. She retired from Utah Power & Light. She is survived by her husband Frank Atwood and her children: Tonya (Rich) Laws of Salt Lake City and Kelli Atwood (Mike) of Price. She is the proud grandmother of Tory (Jenica), Jeromy (Jamie), Coty (Tiffany), and Chad. She has 5 great grandchildren: Karlie, Dallas, Kendall, Sami and Madi, sisters: Gaylene Hreinsen, Trena Baker, Ronda Barela, Robyn Spring and Malaine Wareham. She was preceded in death by her parents, only brother and a younger sister. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Helper LDS Stake Center (150 Ridgeway). There will be a viewing Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South, Price) and on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, Utah. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
