MARGARET JOHNSON CONOVER
FERRON- Margaret Johnson Conover, age 92, returned to Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Spanish Fork, Utah. Margaret was born on September 2, 1921 in Hiawatha, Utah to Robert William and Vera Irene Moffitt Johnson. She married Jesse George Conover on March 24, 1940 in Provo. They were sealed in the Manti LDS Temple for Time and Eternity on September 30, 1953.
Margaret was raised in Orangeville, Utah. She graduated from Central High School where she was active in cultural, social, and educational activities. She spent her life serving her family, sharing her musical talents and working beside George on their cattle ranch.
Margaret was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in numerous ward and stake callings. Her favorite callings include being Relief Society President, stake missionary, and pianist in many organizations. Margaret especially loved serving with her sweet companion George as they served three full time missions (Louisville, Ky., Kirtland, Ohio, Palmyra, N.Y.). Margaret had a deep testimony and knowledge of the doctrine and loved the Scriptures. Her family was the central thing in her life. She enjoyed world travel with her extended family.
Margaret is survived by her son Paul G. (Kathleen) Conover, Ferron; daughter Catherine (Curtis) Steele, Price; son Sterling J. (Janet) Conover, Hanna, Wy; 19 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Jesse George Conover; parents; brother Robert (June) Johnson; sister Neva (Keith) Jewkes; two grandsons, Gordon Paul Conover and Clint Maurice Conover; two great granddaughters and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Blue Hills/Millsite LDS Chapel (35 W. 200 N., Ferron, Utah). A viewing will be held at 9:00-10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
