Margalynn Humphrey George Kelly returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 2nd, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.
Margalynn was born to Lee G Humphrey and Phyllis Guymon Killian on May 3, 1940 in Orangeville, Utah. She was the oldest of six girls: Patti, Ginger, Lilly, Jaquie, and Jane Lee. As a child, her adventurous spirit flourished with ten acres of land to play on, with cabins and playhouses made in the willows, old buildings, the Grainery, and wherever else they invented.
She and her sisters rode the family horses wherever they needed to go and regularly helped out on the farm. The sisters remained close and created memories through annual sister "reunions." Margalynn graduated from South Emery High School, where she met Harold Riedel George. She and Riedel married on May 20, 1958, and went on to have five children: Jami Eleanore Luce, Jodi Lynn George, Michael Riedel George, Phillip Lee George, and Jaquie Turner. Their adventures continued in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Alaska, and Utah. Margalynn loved being around people. For many years, she and Riedel ran Skyhaven Resort on Ferron Mountain, and
upon returning to live in Alaska, she became a real estate broker for Remax and earned multiple recognitions for her work--due in no small part to her talent for connecting with others. The family was living in Fairbanks, Alaska when Riedel died on April 16, 1999.
Two things never changed throughout Margalynn's unique and diverse lifetime: her boundless love for those around her, and that same adventurous spirit that kept her traveling, exploring, and trying new things throughout her life. Those who loved her were blessed to be brought along for the ride.
In 2005, Margalynn met Charles Albert Kelly. They were married on August 31, 2006, and went on to share the love and warmth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible, serving a mission to Winnipeg Canada. Through their 16 years together, they divided their time between Alaska and Florida, spending many hours sailing on the "Kelly Girl."
Margalynn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and endured to the end. She has reunited with her parents and Riedel in heaven, and is survived by many loving family members, including her husband Charlie, her 5 sisters, her 5 children, 24 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
