Lucy Curtis

May 11, 1930 — October 15, 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother & friend, Lucy Curtis 92 passed away on 10/15/22 surrounded by her family members. Lucy Curtis was born on 05/11/1930, to Les & Mable Jones in Huntington, Utah. She met the love of her life in 1946 and was married in October of that year to Don V Curtis In East Carbon, Utah. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2010.

Lucy loved to crochet, embroider, and do word find. Lucy lived a full, loving, family-filled life. She was the youngest of three girls. She passed this love on to her children & grandchildren. Lucy was always busy, first taking care of her husband and children, then later her grandchildren. Lucy was always surrounded by family, she always tried to give them the very best even if that meant she go without. She was a great listener with loving heart. She worked various jobs throughout her life to help provide for her family and moved around with her husband. She finally became a permanent home maker and stayed in Huntington Utah where she lived out the remaining years of her life.

She was always surrounded by family. She was always there for them and made sure they always had a home when they needed one. She was loved dearly by her grandchildren. There wasn't nothing she wouldn't do for them. Lucy and Jack always had one of their grandchildren with them. No matter where they went, they were never left behind. Her grandchildren referred to those times as the best of their childhood. They always wanted to be at grandmas & grandpas house. In the early years Lucy's family was inseparable and went everywhere together. They would go to the lake, out on cedar mountain or horse riding. Our parents and grandparents were a perfect team when it came to us kids/grandkids. We loved being with them and they loved having us around. She fully enjoyed what she did and those she met in her day. She made time for everyone who reached out, providing caring, trustworthy, and sound counsel always. She simply wanted to brighten our lives in her day and that she surely did. Peace and love permeated her, and kindness felt like it was her middle name. Anyone who knew her knew she was the most loving wife, mother, and grandmother a family could ask for. We will miss our mother and grandmother. We love with all our heart. Now you can rest.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her three children Mark, Dana & Kirk Curtis as well as her two grandchildren Mark Nay and Brandon Curtis. She is survived by her five children Nedra, Bart, Brett, Dale and Kay Curtis as well as several grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 620 North Main, Huntington, Utah. Viewing will be from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Huntington Cemetery.
