Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother Lou Jean Golding Willson, age 81, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 surrounded by her family. Lou Jean was born March 28th, 1938, the oldest child to Marion Lavell Golding and Crystal (Christensen) Golding.
She was born in Price and raised in Miller Creek and Wellington, Utah. She had a talent for sewing and making quilts. She has made thousands of quilts in her lifetime. Every other year for Christmas she made sure every family member received one. She had a lifetime of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a perfect example of compassionate, Christlike service.
She Married Marvon Ellis Willson for Time and All Eternity on May 6th, 1954 in the Manti LDS Temple. They have been married for 65 years. They have 5 children; Marvon (Alicia) Willson, Kristy (David) Prettyman, Terry Ericson, Jerry Chavez, Layne 'deceased' (Marie) Willson, 13 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was an avid sports fan and attended every game or other event for all of her children and grandchildren for as long as she was able to.
She is survived by her loving husband Ellis, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her son Layne Willson, her parents, siblings Robert Golding, Louise Willson, Kent Golding, and Christian Q Golding.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Wellington 4th Ward Chapel with a viewing prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, in Price, Utah.
