Louise Bagley Johansen
A woman of virtue who dedicated her life to the Lord and endured to the
end. Louise was reunited with her husband on January 4, 2011. Louise
was the second of four children born to Orson and Myrtle Clark Bagley
on November 10, 1920. She married her sweetheart, Grant Johansen, in
the Manti Temple on October 24, 1941. He preceded her in death July
16, 1978.
Louise was a mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother to
a posterity of 76. She taught her posterity by word and deed. She
loved the scriptures, and was valiant in all of her callings which
included Primary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Gleaner Leader, Relief
Society Teacher, Young Women's' President and teacher, Ward and Stake
Relief Society President. She served in her Stake calling for 28
years; 8 years as a counselor, 14 years as president, and 6 years as
nursery leader. Louise was called to serve a mission in Sacramento,
California December 24, 1981. She was a temple ordinance worker from
1989 to 1994. Louise loved being a Visiting Teacher from 1953 until
her health kept her homebound. Her service in the community included
Fine Arts Club, Jaycee-Ettes, 4-H leader, Lady Lions, and secretary to
the Sanpete County Democrats. She built a float for "Jubilee Days" for
the 8 years that her husband served as Mayor of Mt. Pleasant.
Louise is survived by four children: Connie (Terry) Ames, Mt.
Pleasant; Dr. Joseph (Victoria) Johansen, Gilbert, AZ; Christine (Jim)
Redford, Provo; Dr. Kent (Lisa) Johansen, Chandler, AZ., 20
grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 10 great great
grandchildren. Surviving sibling is Lavern Sorensen, Orem, Ut. and
sister-in-law, Evelyn Bagley, Koosharem, UT.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grant Johansen; sister,
Beth Bohman, and brother, Garth Bagley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 12:00 noon
in the Mt. Pleasant Stake Center, 295 South State. Friends may call at the church Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Mt Pleasant City Cemetery.
