Our beloved Linda Marie Walsh passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter, on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born to JoAnne E. and David A. Vanwagoner in Waltham, Massachusetts, on October 23, 1953. Linda’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her artistic spirit, and her boundless capacity for love.
A devout believer in Jesus Christ and His teachings, Linda’s spirituality was a guiding force in her life. She was a gifted musician, artist, and singer, possessing a beautiful voice that touched the hearts of many. She generously shared her musical talents, teaching piano and guitar to those eager to learn.
Fate brought Linda and Tom Walsh together while he was visiting family in Salt Lake City. Their love blossomed, and they were united in marriage on August 30, 1997, in Elmo, Utah. Linda played a pivotal role in Tom’s life, guiding him towards a better path. Her selfless nature was evident in her unwavering dedication to helping others, often placing their needs before her own. Linda and Tom actively participated in numerous charitable endeavors, where she selflessly gave to those in need. She loved her children more than anything, with a boundless, enduring love that was their greatest comfort and most precious gift.
Seeking to be closer to her father David, Linda and Tom relocated from Salt Lake City to Wellington, Utah, where they built a life filled with love and shared memories. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Walsh; her children, Clifford (Melissa) Rice, Robert (Shannon) Rice, and Audrey Rice; eight cherished grandchildren; and five adored great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Debbie), William (Luann), James (Annett), John (Marianne); sisters, Carolyn (Clark), Marilyn (Eddie), Shirley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and JoAnne VanWagoner and her grandparents, Afton and Rubelle VanWagoner.
Funeral service, Friday, March 28, 2025, 11:00 a.m., Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South) in Price, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment, Cleveland Town Cemetery.
