Lilly Harrington
May 9, 1940 — June 10, 2024
Lilly Maria Martinez Harrington
Our Lilly has left us to move on to meet our Lord and the rest of her loved family on June 10, 2024.
She was 83 years young! Born the first child of Henry and Manualita Martinez in Lumberton, New Mexico on May 9, 1941. They moved to Utah when she was six years old. Lilly attended schools in Rains, Utah, Sunnyside, Utah and then moved to Orem and attended Lincoln Jr. High and Orem High School.
She married Walter Motley in 1960, had two children Dolores Jean and Wally Motley. They later divorced. She married Larry J. Harrington in 1969 and they were married for 47 years, during which time Larry adopted her two children.
Lilly loved to decorate her home, her yard, flowers, anything she could get her hands on! She loved to go to yard sales anywhere, anytime! Lilly could spot a yard sale sign miles down the road and had to stop. She truly was the “Yard Sale Queen” and got some next to nothing bargains.
She had lots of family and friends that she loved to spend time with and spend many laughing moments together. She loved life and life loved her.
The Lord was her life and that’s why she loved life. The true meaning of why she was who she was is due to the Lord. Lilly was a very spiritual person and lived for our Lord.
Survived by her daughter, Dolores “Dodie” Harrington; granddaughter, Larisa whom she adored and bragged about always and was very proud of; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews; and all her special friends she always had a big hug for.
Preceded in death by her husband, Larry Harrington; son, Wally Harrington; parents; all four sisters and one brother; grandparents; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
