LeRoy Oliver
Spring Glen - LeRoy Oliver, age 74, passed away peacefully March 6, 2010 in Provo, Utah surrounded by his loving family after enduring many years with emphysema. LeRoy was born Feb 14th, 1936 in Kenilworth, Utah to Orcel and Gladys (Hastings) Oliver. LeRoy was raised in Elmo, Utah on the farm where he learned the value of hard work.
On Nov. 12th, 1954 LeRoy married the love of his life, Connie Rich. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on June 7th, 1986. LeRoy worked most of his life in the trucking industry, retiring from Savage Services in 1998 after 32 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and friends, camping, hunting, fishing, water skiing and just spending time outdoors. He will be remembered by everyone for his sense of humor and his love to tease, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved and respected by everyone that met him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; children, Greg (Tina) Oliver, Cleveland, UT, Debbie Oliver, Helper, UT, Kathy (Doug) Reid, Price, UT, and Gary (Belinda) Oliver, Spring Glen, UT; siblings, Donna Turpin, Magna, UT, Derald (Fern) Oliver, Castle Dale, UT, and Alice (Ron) Smith, Vernal, UT; sister-in-law, Ranae (Dick) Eastman, Sagle, ID; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Orval and Zelpha Rich; a half brother LaMar Kearns; and two brothers-in-law, Ken Turpin and Lee Robertson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carbonville Ward Building in Spring Glen (1985 West 4000 North). There will be a viewing Thursday, March 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary and Friday from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. prior to services at the church.
