Leonard Jesse Powell Jr. born to Leonard Jesse Powell, Sr. and Clema Alice (Coleman) Powell on April 8, 1946. Leonard married the love of his life Rosetta (Hensley) Powell on January 8, 2015.
Leonard passed away peacefully Saturday, October 15th, 2022 at Utah Valley Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Leonard had a deep passion for archaeology, wood working, painting, wood carving and making beautiful jewelry amongst many other passions and hobbies. Leonard was a very spiritual man.
Leonard was a retired veteran after dedicating his life to serve his country in the military. Leonard was stationed in Sandhofen, Germany.
Leonard always looked forward to seeing all his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed their company. Leonard loved being in his shop tinkering with little odds and ends and new projects, always making things including jewelry for his beloved wife.
Leonard is survived and dearly missed by his wife Rosetta Powell, children Josephine Powell, Eric Powell, Terrence (Magen) Powell, Bethany Powell, Brenden Powell, Gwenda Powell, Daniel Ceal, Jeannie Prowse, James (Timberly) Ceal, Michael Ceal, Amy (Jacob) Hesse, Crystal (Anthony) Montoya, David (Jolene) Ceal, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his mother Clema Alice Coleman, father Leonard Jesse Powell, two sisters Ruby Ann and Joyce Powell, his oldest son Spencer Lee Powell and his youngest son Colton Powell.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Fausett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, Price, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow at the Grames-Powell Cemetery in Price with military honors.
