Lenore Chapman

Lenore Johnson Smith Chapman HELPER - Lenore Johnson Smith Chapman, age 93, passed away January 11, 2011 in Price, Utah. She was born August 17, 1917 to Daniel Abraham Johnson and Carrie Christina Mortensen in Cleveland, Utah. She married Rudy Smith on November 25, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple. After Rudy passed away she met and married Spenst Chapman on March 25, 1955 in Nevada. Lenore was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to travel and also enjoyed cheering for the Utah Jazz. She is survived by her sons: Gary (Karen) Smith, and Lynn (Anita) Smith; step children: Gale (Verna) Chapman, Emma Jean Hunter, Jeannette "Nettie" (Troy) Patrick and Mark (Sherrie) Chapman; and brother, Clayton (Mary) Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Dale Smith; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gordon Creek LDS Ward Chapel (175 North 1280 West - Price, Utah). A viewing will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery - Helper, Utah. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
