Lena Johnson

Lena R. Callahan Johnson Carbonville-Lena R. Callahan Johnson, age 88, passed away on March 18, 2013 in Price, Utah. Lena was born on December 7, 1924 in Hollister, California to Herman Frank and Theresa J. Kiser Hafliger. She married William Harvey Callahan, they later divorced, she then married Rulon Carl Johnson. Lena was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. Lena was a simple person, she enjoyed yard work and gardening. She worked as a care giver for Parkdale and for Artic Circle. Lena enjoyed being with her family, they were the most important in her life, she loved her children but especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren lovingly known as "Grandma Great." She will be remembered as someone who always put others needs before her own. She is survived by her children: Betty (Dennis) Salamanikas of West Valley, Utah, Kenneth (Gwen) Callahan of Price, Utah, William "Butch" (Charlene) Callahan of Sandy, Utah, James (Connie) Callahan of Price, Utah, Timothy (Kaye) Callahan of Yuma, Arizona, Mark (Peggy) Callahan of Helper, Utah, 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, William E. (Rosemary) Hafliger of San Jose, California. Preceded in death by her husband Carl, brothers, sisters, and daughter-in-law Vicki Callahan. A special thanks to Jeannee Hunt, PA, Parkdale Health and Rehab, CNS Hospice for the care they gave our mother. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the Community Nursing Services, Humane Society, or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary. A viewing will be held on Friday March 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South, Price) also on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, in Helper, Utah. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
