Price - Leah Grace O'Neil World, age 95, passed away peacefully April 8, 2009 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family. Leah was born to George and Nora Amanda (Abplanalp) O'Neil on April 4, 1914 in Cedar View, Utah. Leah married Jack World on October 4, 1932 in Castle Dale, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Manti LDS Temple.
Leah and Jack owned and operated the Sportsman Lodge in Joes Valley for many years. Leah touched the lives of many people whether talking about her family, hunting and fishing or just what is happening in the world. She truly enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling with Jack and her many friends.
After retiring from the Lodge she was able to focus all of her time and attention on the things that mattered most to her. Her family. She was most happy when she was surrounded by her many grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandchild. Her home was the center of entertainment for many holiday and family gatherings. Leah was also a very creative person and known for making many cherished quilts and afghans for her loved ones. She dearly loved her little dog Fritz and he was by her side until she was unable to care from him any longer.
She is survived by daughter, Jacketta Brewer; sister, Loma Davis; three grandchildren, Leslie Phillips, Tim (Audrey) Brewer, Brett Brewer; seven great grand children, David (Susan) Diamanti, Brittany Phillips, Landon Brewer, Tyson Brewer, Brandie Brewer, Brittanty Brewer, Omi Brewer and one great great grandchild, Dawson Phillips.
She was preceded in death by husband Jack World: parents George and Amanda O'Neil; daughter Karen; sisters Nola Nelson, Marie Migliaccio and brother Grant O'Neil.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South). Viewing will be held Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
The family would also like to thank Richard Anderson and Brenda Kalatzes for all the love that has been shown to Leah and her family and special appreciation to Rock Mountain Hospice, especially Deborah, Kourtney and Robin for all their loving care.
