Leah DeFriez Seeley CASTLE DALE: Leah DeFriez Seeley, age 91 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 09, 2011 in Price, Utah. She was born November 11, 1919 in Duchesne, UT the second of three children born to Paul C. and Lillian E. Allred Hansen. She married Warren H. DeFriez on August 12, 1938 in Castle Dale, UT, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, together they were blessed with three children, he passed away January 12, 1960. Leah married Don H. Seeley on July 6, 1988 in Manti, Utah. Leah grew up in Emery County and graduated from Central High in Castle Dale. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. Leah loved the outdoors and was always busy working outside, either on the family farm or gardening. Leah loved her family and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who always put her family first. She is survived by her children: Sharon Gale (Mervin) Miles of Orangeville, Leon (Colleen) DeFriez and Stephen (Jackie) DeFriez both of Castle Dale, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Leah was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Warren H. DeFriez and Don H. Seeley, brother, Harold and Sister, Vivian. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Castle Dale LDS Stake Center at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Castle Dale City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guestbook and share memories of Leah at www.fausettmortuary.com.
