CLAWSON, UT - Larry R Cook, age 76, passed away on November 11, 2020 in Price, Utah. He was born November 21, 1943 in Price, Utah to Thomas Albert Cook and Wanda Irene Workman Cook. He married his high school sweetheart, his little chicken, Joan Grimes April 5, 1963 In Dos Palos, CA. They were sealed for time and eternity April 22, 1977 at the Salt Lake City Temple. Larry was raised with the sheep in the rolling hills of Manila, Ut. He received his high school diploma from Manila High School graduating with one of the largest classes of 12 people. He went on to train in welding and as a professional drilling fluids specialist. Larry lived in many states and made a positive impact on everyone he met. He never met a stranger. He literally was a jack of all trades and after all his traveling for work; he retired from both the Operating Engineers and the oil field. Since then, Larry could often be found in his boat on the lake where he enjoyed fishing and communing. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served in a multitude of callings. He excelled at making Pinewood Derby cars. He was a professional musician, rodeo cowboy, barstool poet, avid nickname giver, proud patriot, and best friend. Larry is survived by his beautiful wife, Joan Gay Grimes Cook; his children- Shaunnie (Gary) Price of Clawson, Jimmy Ray (Stephany) Cook of Bakersfield, CA, Deborah (Mickel) Serrano of Green River, WY. Grandchildren- Jesse (Andrealinn) Price, Mandie (Wes) Wilberg, Chelsea (Trent) Guymon, Andrea (Marc) Johnson, Jeramy (Andrea) Cook, Andrew Cook, Dallan Serrano, Korbin Serrano, Kristinah Serrano, Rylan Serrano and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister, Delores Aman and brother, Dean Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Yvonne Hansen and Connie Reed. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Ferron City Cemetery.
