Lamar Carlyle Edwards
PRICE - Our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, Lamar Carlyle Edwards passed away peacefully at his home on January 7, 2011 at the age of 92.
Lamar was born on October 6, 1918 to Carlyle and Ila Edwards in Sterling, Utah. He married the love of his life, Wardella Laverne Ward on February 14, 1947.
Lamar served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in various occupations throughout his life. He retired from Horse Canyon coal mine as an electrician and later from CEU as the Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed a very healthy active life doing any and all outdoor activities with family and friends.
Lamar is survived by his wife, Wardella; his two sons: Larry (Pat) Edwards, and Allen Edwards; his five grandchildren: Steve Edwards, Scott (Lori) Edwards, Kevin (Janalyn) Edwards, Mindy (Brett) Ashmen, and Jill (Jeremy) Ison; his 12 Great-grandchildren: Kristalyn, Brittany, Tyler, Kindra, Derek, T.J., Katrina, Colby, Jeremiah, Jacob, Madison, and Allena.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Wayne, Keith, Leon, and Rodney; and his daughter-in-law, Ricki.
Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South - Price, Utah) for a viewing from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. with a celebration of Lamar's life at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion.
