Biography Ken L. Moosman CLAWSON - Ken L. Moosman, age 64, passed away October 9, 2012 in the mountains doing what he loved best, riding horses. Ken was born June 14, 1948 to Boyd and Beth Prescott Moosman. He married Joni Elizabeth Starr on June 12, 1976 in Spanish Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Ken was born and raised, for most of his childhood, in Roosevelt. He then moved to Carbon County where he graduated from Carbon High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army along with his buddy, Rod Oliver. He was a member of the U.S. Army Infantry Campaign C and served in the Vietnam Conflict earning two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with valor. Ken was a truck driver by trade, but his passion was the outdoors. He loved horses and being a cowboy, but the most important thing in life was his family. He was so proud of his children and enjoyed his time with them. He loved little children, especially his grandchildren. He had many close friends, and he was loyal to them all. Ken was also a handyman. He loved to work with his hands and was never afraid to try something new. He will be remembered as one of the last cowboys and also as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ken is survived by his wife, Joni; children: Jaylynn (Pete) Pell of Wellington, Amber Moosman of Clawson, Michael Moosman of Clawson, David (Denise) Moosman of Maine, and Steven (Ashley) Moosman of Ft. Hood, Texas; siblings: Rex (Roseann) Moosman of Cleveland, Judy Messinger of Kearns, Ralph (Karen) Moosman of Elmo, Shirley (Terry) Stansfield of Wellington, Merlin (Carol) Moosman of Carbonville, Max (Kim) Moosman of Millercreek, and Dawn (Gary) Stansfield of Millercreek; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Paul Messinger; six nephews: Shane, Chris, David, John, Travis, and Ty; niece, Kena; and a great-niece Kelly. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Stake Center (935 East Main Street, Wellington). There will be a viewing Friday, October 12, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale (720 North Center Street) and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Ken at www.fausettmortuary.com.
