Keith Lynn Rasmussen
Keith Lynn Rasmussen, 68, returned to our loving Heavenly Father March 3, 2016.
He was born in Roosevelt, Utah, September 19, 1947 to Arthur Marion and Audrey Arlene (Birtcher) Rasmussen.
Keith married his high school sweetheart Cheree Anderson for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple November 23, 1966.
Keith spent his childhood riding his bike, helping his father milk the cow, enjoying his mother's fried potatoes and causing mischief. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He always had a baseball mitt and a baseball in his hands. The summer Keith was 12 years old he hit 32 home runs.
Keith was a jokester. He always had something to tease you about. He always had a project he was working on. He enjoyed building and fixing old cars, welding, gardening, and destroying dandelions. He was a professional, "tinkerer". By trade he was a pipefitter and welder. He also spent many years working as a baker.
He enjoyed the outdoors, he loved camping, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling.
His real love however was his family. The love he had for his family was strong and deep. He was a true gentleman and treasured the company of his wife, Cheree. When asked what he was most proud of in his life his answer was his children. He especially loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. He spoiled them and then sent them home.
Keith was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. His desire is for all of his grandchildren to go to the temple. Keith, husband, dad, grandpa, was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Keith is survived by his sweetheart and companion of nearly 50 years, Cheree Rasmussen, three sons, Kirt (Kristi) Rasmussen, Elmo, Utah, Corey (Linda) Rasmussen, Fallon, Nevada, Kelly (Cassie) Rasmussen, Lehi, Utah, nine grandchildren, Janessa, Bailey, Justin, Brett, Dillon, Audrey, RayAnn, Kelcee, and Kaylee. One brother, Jon Rasmussen and a sister, Arlene Dilley.
He is preceded in death by an infant son Keith Lynn Rasmussen jr., parents Arthur Marion Rasmussen and Audrey Arlene Rasmussen, and a brother Dennis Rasmussen.
