Kathryn Gilson

Price, UT - Kathryn Allen Gilson, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Died peacefully on September 4, 2019 in Provo, Utah. Kathryn was born September 17, 1936 in Santaquin, Utah to James and Nellie Peterson Allen. She married Laurence Gilson April 22, 1956 in Eley, Nevada and was later sealed to her husband & children in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Kathryn enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had the opportunity to serve a stake mission with her husband to the Native Americans in New Mexico. She also served in other church callings. Kathryn is survived by her husband, Laurence, of 63 years; children: Kay Haymore, Spanish Fork, Robert Gilson, Price, James (Tammi) Gilson, Castle Dale, Ron (Kellie) Gilson, Springville, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, a daughter, Retha Christine Gilson and a Son in Law, Brad Haymore. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Price Utah Stake Center, 150 South 500 East, Price, Utah. Friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery, 816 North Castle Heights Dr., Price, Utah under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
