Karl Newell

Karl Newell, age 71, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 2, 2024 at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long and courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

He was born December 14, 1952 in Frankfurt, Germany to Erika E. Striech and Albert Newell. They later moved to California around 1960.

Karl loved sports in his younger years. He was a varsity basketball player in high school. Later he found his love for hunting and fishing. He spent a lot of his years in his favorite place, Joe’s Valley.

Karl spent a lot of his time a part of the ECV in California, Nevada, and Utah. If there was a Halloween party, Christmas party, or any other occasion, he was there having the time of his life and dressed up for the occasion.

Karl had a laugh that could brighten anyone’s mood and a personality to match. He’s going to be dearly missed.

Karl married Rebecca Belarmino and had three beautiful children, Anthony, Aurora and Matthew. They later divorced. He married Pamela Conary, later divorced. Married Trina Green and was with her until her passing in 2019.

Survived by his children, Anthony Newell, Florida, Aurora (Anthony) Hill, Illinois, Matthew Newell, Illinois; step-children, KaRanda Krompel, Wellington, Lorie Rollins, Castle Dale; siblings, Peter (Kathy) Newell, Oregon, Maria Valencia, California, Gary Newell, Nicaragua, Steve Newell, California; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Erika; wife, Trina; former wife, Rebecca.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, 2:00 p.m., Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services are provided by Pinnacle Nursing and KaRanda Krompel.
