East Carbon-Karen Marie Cawley Johnson Baldwin Dickson. On January 18, 2015
she was called home to her Heavenly Father while in the arms of her loving son Troy in Kearns, Utah, to be united with her family and friends in heaven. Karen was born May 11, 1941 to Joseph and Mary Mooney Cawley in Salt Lake City Utah.
Karen graduated from East Carbon High. Moved to Soldier Summit. Worked as a waitress for her first job. There she met and married Trent Davis Johnson. Shane Davis her first son was born on her 23rd birthday May 11, 1964. Karen said the day he was born "Now I will live forever ". She attended Stevens Henagar Business College. After graduating she went to work for Bechtel Corp. There she met and married Dwight Profit Baldwin. Their second son Leslie Troy Baldwin was born March 24th 1966. They live in Kearns for a while with her Mom, Dad and sister. Karla took care of the boys while she worked. They had moved around the United States, From California to West Virginia, to Arizona, to California then to Texas where Dwight retired. They were in charge of building the power plants. Karen and her family moved to Newhall and Saugus, Calif. where they built the Olympics venues in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints East Carbon Ward. She was very thankful to be a primary teacher and to teach both of her boys about Baptism. Then to see them baptized. (Virginia).
After their tenure with Bechtel Corp. They bought a Chevron Station on 2300 East in Holiday, Utah the family enjoyed working there with Dunn Oil. She lost her sweetheart Dwight May 18th 1989. After that journey, she met and married one of her high school friends William Dickson (Mick) August 31, 1991. Along with Mick she had 4 beautiful step daughters, Miki Lynn, Valerie, Paula and Leslie.
Karen loves the families. She was the best mom, sister, auntie, grandma, great grandma, cousin and friend that any could ask for! Karen is a precious Daughter of God! She loves her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They in turn love her! She loved all of her family. She knew that family was the most important thing in life. The plan of salvation, she loved the scriptures. She really liked them read to her as her eyes weren't the best the last few years. Till we meet again Karen. Our prayers, our love and devotion will be with you for eternity! We will miss you!

Survived by her children: Leslie Troy Baldwin of Kearns Utah, Lori Baldwin, Robert Christensen, Greg, Gary and Dee Baldwin, Miki Lynn. Paula, and Leslie Dickson, sisters Karla (Terry) Young East Carbon, Sharon Cawley of Price Utah, 13 grandchildren including Leslie Baldwin, Ryan Baldwin, Jessica Baldwin, Christopher Baldwin, Nicholas Baldwin, and 8 additional grandchildren in California, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Note: Karen always told Mary Lee that Mary should have been her daughter and Shane should have been Karla's son. Mary and Karen shared the same kind loving souls. They were both the peacemakers in the families.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price. A viewing will be held on Friday prior to the service at the mortuary from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Cliffview Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
